Witches, Sluts and Feminists’ by Kristen J Sollee revisits the treatment of women and feminine people from the post renaissance period until now. Sollee explores how misogyny is only masqueraded under the patriarchy into new forms while society has evolved through the centuries. A notable comparison Sollee makes which shows how language can suppress people is between ‘witches’ and ‘sluts’. Sollee suggests that these words have intailed similarly fitting consequences for their time periods and discusses the harms and benifits of reclaiming these words.

Over all the short chapters and accessible language makes ‘Witches, Sluts and Feminists’ very easy to read but hugely informative none the less. I would highly recommend ! <3
